Every other year, ABADÁ Capoeira San Francisco puts on a fully produced professional show. In recent years, we have been included in the International Arts Festival at the Fort Mason Center. Spirit of Brazil highlights the art and history of capoeira for a general audience and features reknowned international guest artists in addition to our home company.
In addition to acting as a stage manager and costume designer, I created the show’s publicity artwork and accompanying promotional materials which were distributed all over San Francisco. The t-shirts were purchased by visiting and SF-based capoeiristas and are worn as part of our training uniforms.
